JESSE'S NOTES

"Maya is the magic by which we create duality-by which we create two worlds from one."

"While they may appear to be outside of you, this is an illusion, they exist within your own mind, and are being projected to appear as if they are outside of you."

Everything that we perceive to be "out there" is being experienced "in here."

"Subject and object are not separate - so called objective reality is projected by our subjective Consciousness."

"There is nothing mind can do that cannot be better done in the mind's immobility and thought-free stillness. When mind is still, then truth gets her chance to be heard in the purity of the silence." ― Sri Aurobindo

Leadership is a group project, and all of us are necessary to fill it. Wise leaders will realize this and encourage their groups to develop their own evolving leadership potential.    - Arnold Mindell

"Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become." - Steve Jobs

"Neuroscience research shows that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going inside ourselves." ― Bessel van der Kolk

"It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done." ― Vincent Van Gogh

"Do not judge me by my success, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again." ~ Nelson Mandela

"This is the moment when what we need most is enough people with the skill, heart, and wisdom to help us pull ourselves back from the edge of breakdown and onto a different path."  - C. Otto Scharmer

"Energy follows attention. Wherever you place your attention, that is where the energy of the system will go. "Energy follows attention" means that we need to shift our attention from what we are trying to avoid to what we want to bring into reality."  - C. Otto Scharmer

To say this in another way, Action Inquiry is the door to embodiment of what in ancient cultures in India and Tibet was called a Tantric way of being.

"The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."
- Pablo Picasso

"The closer you come to knowing that you alone create the world of your experience, the more vital it becomes for you to discover just who is doing the creating."   - Eric Micha'el Leventhal

"To the ego, love is poison."  - Eric Micha'el Leventhal

This practice (Integral Engagment) is about recovering capacities of being human that have atrophied as our left brains have become more and more dominant. In neurological terms, this means strengthening the neural connections between our body live without being our left brain which give which puts everything into categories so quickly that we

In our workshop design and facilitation we value both careful planning and spontaneous emergence. Therefore you can expect your cohort's collective process to constantly interweave:

(A) previously evolved structures which have proven themselves to be effective over many years of working with individuals and groups to help them develop, and

(B) in-the-moment dynamic adaptations to the specific wants and needs that arise based on the personal and professional learning objectives of the individuals present.

Through a highly experiential process, you will be guided to develop an embodied understanding of the path of vertical development as it lives in yourself.

Every leaf that grows will tell you: what you sow will bear fruit, so if you have any sense my friend, don't plant anything but Love.   - Rumi

This road demands courage and stamina, yet it's full of footprints! Who are these companions? ...With company you quicken your ascent. You may be happy enough going alone, but with others you'll get farther, and faster. ~ Rumi

There is a life-force within your soul, seek that life.
There is a gem in the mountain of your body, seek that mine.
O traveller, if you are in search of that
Don't look outside, look inside yourself and seek that.  - Rumi

"Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place." - Rumi

There is a place where voices sing your beauty,
A place where every breath carves your image in my soul.   - Rumi

I LOVE my friends neither with my heart nor with my mind.
Just in case...
HEART might stop. MIND can forget.
I Love them with my Soul.
SOUL never stops or forgets.   - Rumi

The soul has been given its own ears to hear things mind does not understand.  - Rumi
